Location and Landscape
Situated just north of Dublin, County Meath anchors Ireland’s eastern region. Not only does it border Louth, Kildare, and Westmeath, but it also benefits from the fertile plains of the River Boyne. While the terrain remains mostly flat, gentle hills and glacial ridges add subtle variation. Moreover, Slieve na Calliagh, the county’s highest point, rises in the northwest. Thanks to its rich soil and temperate climate, Meath thrives agriculturally.
