The White Temple (also known as Wat Rong Khun) is an iconic landmark located in the city of Chiang Rai, Thailand. It’s a Buddhist temple built from white concrete and decorated with pieces of mirrored glass, and it’s one of the most recognizable and beautiful temples in Southeast Asia.

The White Temple in Chiang Rai is the magnum opus of famed artist, Chalermchai Kositpipat, the same brilliant mind behind the Black House and the colorful clock tower in the center of Chiang Rai. He constructed the White Temple with the help of over 60 followers at a personal cost of over US $1.2 million dollars.
