Infrared
Jacqueline’s journey into photography began many years ago when she discovered the work of British photographer Simon Marsden.
Simon Marsden was famous for his black-and-white infrared photographs of castles, ruins, graveyards, and other mysterious places.
Seeing Simon Marsden’s work inspired Jacqueline to study and learn infrared photography.
Color
Specifically, infrared photography is a technique that involves capturing images using infrared light instead of visible light via the use of infrared film or a converted infrared camera.
Infrared light has a longer wavelength than visible light and thus is not visible to the human eye. The effect of infrared turns greens to whites and creates dynamic contrast.
Studies
Following years of self-study, Jacqueline pursued a professional photography program at the Washington School of Photography in Bethesda, Maryland.
Upon graduation, she embarked on a journey, traversing Thailand, Europe, and the United States.
During her travels, she captured mesmerizing black and white and infrared images.
Home
Jacqueline, originally from Bethesda, Maryland, has journeyed through New Orleans and Dallas. Eventually, she returned to her roots, settling in the scenic rural Carroll County, Maryland. As a fine art photographer, she passionately captures natural beauty, preserving our world’s history through her lens.
